Greetings! This is about the third time in as many weeks that I have posted to this group, so take heart, this may be the last! My Master's thesis involves resurrecting a content analysis system known as WORDS, developed at Univ. of Rochester in the 1960's. It is written in PL/I. One of my committee members wants to see the system ported to the Unix* environment as this would make it more widely usable. I agree, except that I don't want to read and translate by hand 34 programs in PL/I to C. What I need is a translator, and this committee member seems to think that one (or more) exists in the public domain. True or False? Any pointers, hints, suggestions would be appreciated. Flames to /dev/null. Respond by e-mail please. Harrison sharp@cs.scarolina.edu or ncrcae!usceast!sharp
