I am soliciting suggestions/opinions on spreadsheet editors for use under
UNIX. Specifically, SunOS 4.0.3 on Sun3 workstations.
In particular, the group who will be using the spreadsheet have much
invested in some fairly complex Lotus 123 sheets, which they want to
continue to use under UNIX. So, the spreadsheet should be able to at
least read Lotus-format files.
If you use or have evaluated a suitable spreadsheet or offer one
commercially, please contact me (email preferred, phone ok).
Vendors welcome.
Thanks...

Specifically, SunOS 4.0.3 on Sun3 workstations. This probably won't help you much, but there is a good spreadsheet available for Unix systems, and it's free. It's called 'sc' and is in the comp.sources.unix archives, and we've had it here several months and the students seem to be pleased with it. I suspect it's very different from Lotus 123, but, hey! It's free!
