[net.cooks] drinks using ice cream; soup stock

richard@aplvax.UUCP (06/15/83)

An easy pina colada-type drink using ice cream:

Mix equal parts coconut ice cream, crushed pineapple and
white rum in a blender and go! For best results, chill or
freeze the pineapple or add some ice to the blending mixture.

Another easy blender drink, one that resembles a sour:

Mix equal parts frozen pink lemonade concentrate, seven-up
and bourbon in a blender and go! Delicious!

Both these drink recipes are for the stout-hearted (or just
plain stout)! Moderate the alcoholic content if you wish,
or start with half the amount of booze.

A hint on freezing stock for later use: Use an ice cube tray!
It's easy to pull out as many or as few as desired and pop
	them into almost anything.

A friend of mine has a great hot buttered rum that gets put together
as follows:

In about October or November mix together a gallon of vanilla ice cream,
a pound of butter, a pound of white sugar, and a pound of brown sugar.
Mix good, now. Put it all back in the freezer. Now anytime you want
a hbr, take a good dollop of this goo, put it in a mug, pour in a slug
of rum, and fill with boiling water. No muss, no fuss.

One warning, however. Do NOT eat the goo. It can cause cavities that
go down to your hips.
