[comp.sources.wanted] need MMDF lock functions for MUSH

steve@txsil.lonestar.org (Steve McConnel) (12/15/89)

I've acquired the MUSH 7.0 sources announced in comp.archives recently, and
compiled the program for our SCO UNIX V/386 system (with only a couple of
minor edits :-). There's one insurmountable problem, however. For MMDF
sites, MUSH calls two functions from the MMDF source code:

(FILE *)lk_fopen(char *filename, char *mode, NULL, NULL, 0)
(void) lk_fclose(FILE *fp, char *filename, NULL, NULL)

SCO doesn't distribute source code with MMDF (and virtually no documentation
for sophisticated sites wanting to add to the mail system), and i don't have
a clue as to exactly what these functions do, other than some form of file
locking to protect mailboxes from being dropped into the bitbucket.

If someone (you?) would send me adequate descriptions of the functions, i'd
be quite willing to write code for them to use with MUSH, and to send the
code back to the guy who wrote MUSH for the benefit of others like myself.
Thanks. Of course, if you'd already written them ...
