Probably the best seafood place in SF is Scoma's on Fisherman's Wharf. Though it is on the Wharf, it's hidden out on the docks, so it's not too touristy, although it IS often crowded (no reservations). The prices are very reasonable for such a nice place. Try the Rex Sole Almondine! Another good restaurant in the area is Le Tour in Palo Alto. It has very high quality continental quisine, but is also VERY expensive. SJBerry ..!houxz!disc

I second the recommendation on Scomas for seafood on the wharf. It is out of the way, so its not too touristy, but all of the locals eat there. I've tried several dishes there and have yet to be disappointed. John B - ATTIS - Lincroft,NJ
