[comp.sources.wanted] Wanted: GNU egrep

ari@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Ari Halberstadt) (01/18/90)

A while back I came across a copy of the Free Software Foundation's
version of egrep, which they claimed was several times faster
than regular egrep. If anyone could mail me a copy of it or knows
of an ftp site I would be very grateful. Of course, if all else
fails, I'll just have to write away to FSF (or do they have an
email address for taking orders?)

Thank you all in advance.

GNU egrep is part of the GNU grep packages, along with grep. As with all
GNU, you can get it from prep.ai.mit.edu and probably gatekeeper.dec.com
for those on the West Coast. Any boy is it fast!
