I need source code, preferably C, for a program that will take A file ( Any file, not just Text) and split it into several files of a given length, and then be able to reconstruct those files. This sounds a lot like the DOS Backup/Restore Command, but I need source. PC Magazine published a utility that will split a file into pieces so that it can be placed on several disks. The program creates a "splice" program that is placed on the last disk, for reconstruction later. You can probably get the source code from PCMAGNET, PC Magazine's bulletin board. Look for a program called SLICE. For info on how to logon, look in the first few pages of the magazine. Their utilities are often found on BBS's as well.
