Our Vax system manager is interested in writing a print spooler for our Vaxen and/or our Appletalk network. We have a network of 35 Appletalk zones based on Farallon PhoneNet wiring & StarControllers, linked by an EtherNet backbone. We also have four Vaxen of various flavors (6220, 750, 780) on the backbone. One Appletalk zone houses three Laserwriter II NTs for public-access printing. There are another three II NTs for Vax print jobs. The AppleTalk network is running AppleShare 2.01, and the three public printers run on an AppleShare print spooler. Any sources you might have or know of don't have to fit any of these conditions closely, or at all; the SysMgr just wants to see what other people have done to create spoolers, so he doesn't have to start from scratch. They can be in any language. If you know of any anonymous ftp sites which have good sources, that would be helpful as well; please give the complete Internet name and Ethernet ID if you know it. If you have any sources yourself, please mail to the address below; we have no newsfeed at this site. As always, thanks in advance for your help.
