i once had (one job and two years ago) a program which did "screen rot" under UNIX. it would display one screenful of a file or STDIN and "rot" it on your screen. that is it would drop one letter at a time until it hit another character or bottom of the screen. rot would continue until the entire screenful was on the bottom of the screen and then page to the next screenful or exit on EOF. i don't remember where i got it from (spelunking around the archive machines on the net), but i would like to use it to display a nice motd for a client with a good sense of humor and a few choice co-workers. anyone having it, please send a note. anyone knowing where it may be found, please point me in the right direction. i just don't feel like re-inventing the square wheel. THANKS! bill. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= William Walker --- uunet!prcrs!wrwalke --- 530N-3 (703) 556-2565 soon to be --- wrwalke@prc.com --- PRC Realty Systems "There's nothing wrong with IBM that a REAL Operating System couldn't cure." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
