[comp.sources.wanted] Grunging through library catalogs

primer@putnam.harvard.edu (Jeremy Primer) (03/12/90)

There are lots of library catalogs available on the internet by now,
and on occasion I take in a sizable number of references from them.
Are there any little packages out there which will take capture files
from a number of the major types of catalogs (carlyle, UCal system,
Harvard, etc.) and store the information in a uniform database format?

I might have time to write this stuff for one or two libraries, but I
wonder if anyone is doing a serious job of all this. I want something
that runs under MSDOS, UNIX, or VMS--not too picky.
