[comp.sources.wanted] Wanted: Patches for Smail v2.5

gumby@ucrmath.ucr.edu (john donahue) (03/18/90)

We just tried to install the "smail" smart mailer package on our 386 machine
running SCO Xenix v2.3.2 GT and it works, sort of. Outgoing mail works fine
but when we receive mail from another site, it is not properly delivered by
"rmail" and we're not sure what to do.

A few weeks ago, someone posted (to comp.unix.xenix I think) that they had
modified the source code to "smail" (this is version 2.5 by the way, not
3.0 or the rumoured 3.1 -- we don't want or need all THAT stuff) for Xenix
systems. I sent mail to that person but never got a reply back.

If anyone out in net-land has ported this to work with Xenix, please let me
know and/or send me the "shar" files that you have or the diffs or whatever
it takes to solve this problem.
