Could someone tell me where I could by a manual ice cream making machine in Toronto or
surrounding area. I've seen automatic ones but no manual ones. Also could you give
me some idea of the price of them.

Why a manual machine? The only manual machines I have seen were made by
manufacturers that made $100+ ice cream machines. My electric one cost me
around $15-18. I have yet to find a manual much cheaper.

I have a manual machine that I bought for about $25 or so. It makes 6 quarts
is made by "maine cedar works" or some such company.

The manuals are somewhat nicer than the electrics since they freeze faster and
the consistancy of the goo is somewhat nicer (electric motors give out way
before your arms). They also give the opportunity for your guests to earn their
keep.
