I have a Fortran program written in 1984 for a DEC VMS environment. Trying to compile it with f77 on a Unix system produces dozens of errors. Just two examples are a data type of "BYTE" and a logical constant ".true." which f77 doesn't understand. As far as I know, the program is not in some bizarre dialect, and it's not Ratfor or EFL either. (It's possible there might be a macro file I'm missing, or something). Does anyone know whether any general purpose VMS --> Unix converters exist for Fortran source code? (Or even just Fortran --> C still under VMS, since I would guess a VMS C source would be more portable). Please email if possible. Thanks. .....
