Who can help me locate a symbolic and numeric math package for UNIX? Requirements: -Public domain or shareware -runs under HP Unix or is portable with minimal effort(SYSV will work) -Has a large library of functions, as required for physics and engineering -Can solve problems symbolically if possible, numerically otherwise Preferences: -easy to introduce new methods and known functions -tracing of solution possible -also works with matrices and vectors -written in C, Fortran, Lisp or a combination I know I ask a lot, but I think it's worth a shot. **please e-mail your responses** since I don't frequent this group. advanthanks. -- /* Dogs: %sh </dev/boss | Arthur van der Harg Cats: %cat /dev/boss > /dev/null 2> /dev/null & | arthur@dutfdsa.tudelft.nl */
