Scenario: Two people working on writing a book. Each chapter is stored in a separate file. Only one person works on a given chapter at any one time; they trade off. The two people are at opposite ends of the country; their Unix systems communicate via uucp only. Each one needs to see the changes the other has made. Wanted: An way of sending updates both directions automatically. If we had a TCP/IP connection between the hosts we could use "/usr/ucb/rdist -y" at each end, but we are stuck with only using uucp between these particular hosts. (Both are Sun systems running SunOS-4.0.3) Someone mentioned that ATT has something like this as part of the programmer's workbench. If this is true, what is the exact name of the package, and how do I order it. Are there any public domain packages that I could use? As usual, please send e-mail, as I don't read comp.sources.wanted very often. -- Joe Smith (408)922-6220 | SMTP: jms@tardis.tymnet.com or jms@gemini.tymnet.com BT Tymnet Tech Services | UUCP: ...!{ames,pyramid}!oliveb!tymix!tardis!jms PO Box 49019, MS-C41 | BIX: smithjoe | 12 PDP-10s still running!
