I'm looking for a uuencode program that allows a definition of the character table to be included with the data. This would enable me to build encoded files that avoid certain characters. I note that NN (the newsreader) seems to have a built-in decoder for just such an archive and can only assume this is a later type than the one extracted from c.s.u volume 7.
