Something that works all the time (I use this to clean mugs) is to fill 1/8th to 1/4 of the cup with bleach. Then add warm water and wait 3 - 4 minutes. You will find the cup quite clean. Transfer this solution to the next cup etc. In the mean time put the cups in some sopy water (dish water) (these are the cups you have bleached) After you finish all the cups wash them out and they are good for quite a while. Method number 2 (mainly for tea pots) is to gently clean them with baking soda and water. Put this combination in the pot over night and it should work the stains out by morning (use about 2 - 3 TBLS). Method 3 I heard some people say works is to use vinegar and let stand over night. The third method I use to clean fossils (vinegar and water). I beleive there to be numerous other methods as well.
