[comp.sources.wanted] multiuser talk

paquette@.ucalgary.ca (Trevor Paquette) (09/27/88)

I am on a Sun4 using Sun OS 4.0 and we have several machines
NFSed onto it. I have already tried using conf, but it screws
up when someone on a NFSed machine exits conf. (It now thinks
that NO-ONE is on conf, and response til was VERY slow across
machines. It would also 'forget' some of the messages to send
to the NFS machines as well.)
Does anyone have a multi-user talk/write that will work across
NFS machines, or machines that share the same disk for that
matter?

I recall there was a program called "mtalk" that allows
multiuser talk. Anybody knows where I can get it ?
What I want is a program that will allow several users
on Internet to have a chat... Hints ?

thanks,
