Im on the hunt for some conferencing software running under UNIX, preferably of the Sun variety. The kind of thing I'm looking for would probably be implemented as a replacement shell that presents the user, upon logging in, with a set of conferences that [s]he could join. Within each conference would be a set of ongoing conversational threads etc.. etc... all standard type conferencing stuff. I'd be interested in recomendations on public domain source code type offerings and I'd even be prepared to part with hard cash for good commercial binary products (for Sun's). I do know of one such system in existence which I doubt is for sale..... it's the Computer Information Exchange (CIX) bulletin board in the UK. Thanks in advance, Keith ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith Brown Phone: (408) 473 8308 Novell San Jose Development Centre Fax: (408) 433 0775 San Jose, California 95131 Net: keith@novell.COM ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
