Take one bag of cranberries, pick out the cruddy ones, and grind up the rest in your food processor. They should be ground to about 1/4 the size of a pea. If you don't have a food processor, skip this recipe. Take three oranges, peel them (including the white bitter stuff) and grind them up in the food processor. Add about 1/2 cup of sugar. You need enough to just get over the pucker, not to be very sweet. Add a few tablespoons of Triple Sec or something similar. Store in the fridge for at least three days, then give it a stir and check the amount of sugar. I much prefer this to cooked cranberries. Cindy McMeekin tektronix!tekmdp!cindym

My mother's orange-cranberry relish is even easier, and you DON'T need a food processor: Pick over one bag of cranberries, then grind them in a food grinder. Quarter two oranges (DO NOT PEEL!), remove any seeds, and grind them too. Add about 1/2 to 1 cup of sugar, to taste, and store in the refrigerator--it keeps forever, as far as I can tell!

We made that orange cranberry relish before we heard of a food processor. We made it with an old hand crank meat grinder. Just grind up the cranberries and oranges, skin and all, then add the sugar and triple sec (Was there anything else?). Easy and Delicious! -ptr- Peter Benson {hplabs, arizona, harpo, sask}!utah-cs!pab
