[comp.sources.wanted] it's time for a FAQ posting

since i just saw the zillionth request for f2c, it think it's time
for a Frequently Asked Questions posting for comp.sources.wanted !
in fact i wonder it doesn't exist already.

There are several FAQ lists, some of them posted periodically, some
available by anonymous FTP or mail server.  They are not limited to
comp.sources.wanted, but often contain much information directly
applicable here.  I maintain one such list myself, that is
/pc/ts/tsfaq14.arc at uwasa.fi (available by anonymous ftp or mail
server).  It does not contain a fortran to C Q&A, but one of the
Q&As is on pascal to C.
