[net.cooks] Pasteurization of Milk/Lactose Intollerance

In regards to the pasteurization of milk, most of the spread of disease
can be arrested by using modern dairy techniques in the care for, and
milking of dairy cows.

MOST people have a degree of lactose intollerance. The ONLY group of people
who have a relatively small representation of lactose intollerance is
northern Europeans. I happen to be one of the few northern Europeans
with a slight lactose intollerance. I remember very well being made to
drink milk "because it was good for me" even though it gave me a stomach
ache every time. It is unfortunate that some people assume a problem
is not wide spread simply because they do not have it.
