[comp.sources.wanted] WANTED: source for pen2mino

rusr@hpindwa.cup.hp.com (Russell Richter) (12/13/90)

Hi,

A while ago (about a month), there was a posting in the
comp.binaries.ibm.pc that contained several programs dealing with
pentominoes. There were several README style files and several
programs in it, among them programs called pen2mino and pen2play.
The program pen2play was an interactive pentomino solving program
while pen2mino solved the pentomino problem without intervention of
the user.

I was wondering if anyone here knew where I could get the source
code for these programs (pen2mino at the least).

If this source is unavailable, I would appreciate it if someone would
send me a good general algorithm for solving pentomino problems.
(I could work one out for myself, but it may not be the fastest.
Besides, why reinvent the wheel if I don't have to.)

If you feel it warranted, reply in this group. Otherwise, please
email your response to me.

Thank you,
	Rus Richter
