[comp.sources.wanted] latest version of tcsh

boetsch@lan.informatik.tu-muenchen.dbp.de (Ernst Boetsch) (02/21/89)

I am looking for the latest version of tcsh and how I can get it.

At the moment I have the tcsh for Berkeley 4.3 with the version string
tcsh 5.4 (Ohio State) 7/18/87 Patch level 0
which was posted in 'comp.sources.unix' as 'tcsh.4.3'.

I made the following bug fixes/extensions to this tcsh:
- Bug fix of the integrated which command.
- Prompts with more than one line.
- The new shell variables 'loginsh', 'silent_bell' and
  'visible_bell'.

I miss the following features of the older tenex-csh:
- Expansion of history expressions like file name expansion.
- Expansion of shell variables and environment variables.

Thank You in advance
	Ernst Boetsch

Ftp to tut.cis.ohio-state.edu [128.146.8.60] and look in pub/tcsh.
UUCP to osu-cis and request /u/public/tcsh/tcsh.tar.Z; see
<KARL.89Feb20141931@triceratops.cis.ohio-state.edu> in comp.sources.d
for details on accessing osu-cis.

Where is the latest version of tcsh? Old versions of tcsh seem to be
counterindicated (mild understatement) for SunOs 4.1.1 on sparc 2's.
