uess I missed the part where someone said that "bacteria cannot digest homogenized milk" ... but the suggestion that this is true seems easily refuted: after all, my homogenized milk never seems to have any trouble going sour (-- esp. since I am lactose intolerant myself, and use milk only in small amounts anyway, therefore leaving it in the reefer for longish times) and souring of milk is a bacterial process. (as secondary evidence for that, *sterilized* milk is sold in Europe, on shelves unrefrig- erated, and has a shelf life of some months. Charlie Martin
