Hello, world (actually, only North America)! I have just started reading UNIX Tool Building by Kenneth Ingham. In the course of teaching you how to write reusable tools under UNIX, Mr. Ingham develops a system-monitoring program called "watcher". According to the book, the code is released into the public domain, subject to certain copyright restrictions (does that make sense?). Anyway, the code is included in the book, but I'd rather not type it all in if someone else has gone to the trouble. Has anyone heard of this program, and have an idea where I might find it? Mr. Ingham was working at the University of New Mexico when he wrote watcher; I checked pprg.unm.edu without success. Mr. Ingham, are you out there? Terry McKiernan terry@math.ucla.edu
