This posting is just to let people know that patches to make gcc 1.39 work under SCO with gas 1.37 exist and, pending aproval from the authors of the patches (I didn't write 'em, I just ported 'em), will be made available soon (a week from now at the latest). Gcc 1.39 *will* work "out of the box" with ATT's as, but if you're used to the speed of the old gcc/gas combo using -pipe, it'll feel rather sluggish.
