I am looking for source to a version of tar and/or cpio that will run under PC-DOS. Or better yet a version of pax. I have seen a lot of requests for a way to read a unix tape on a dos system. I have a driver that will read the data from the tape and I would like to find some source for tar or cpio that I could modify to use that driver. I do not have ftp. I do have access to uunet if the source is available there (the version of pax that I found did not seem to be dos compatable). Or, I can set up a uucp conection. I have never used a mail server but I am willing to learn if anyone knows of one that has the source I need.
