Hello out there, At our institute my teaching collegaes are starting a new course on medical informatics. One of them asked me to investigate if there is any software they could use in the practical part of the course. We would prefer public domain software, but any pointers to commercially available software are welcome too. What they are looking for is software that can simulate human organs. For instance the heart, the liver, etc. It should be able to simulate all kind of (terrible) deseases and react upon the medication a student tries on the (poor) human being owning the organ. It could also be an assistent for the students in the diagnostical phase of the treatment. Any help is very much appreciated.
