I know that there are folks writing programs to convert Mac sound files to IBM PCs, as well as IFF files. I suspect that there are folks converting SPARC sound files to IBM PCs as well. I want to go the other way - I have seen IBM PC sound files in .rol, .voc, .snd, and other formats. But just treating these files as raw data and playing them on a SPARC does not seem to work. Does anyone have any ideas as to software or file format descriptions? Has anyone written a set of Portable Sound Mapping programs .... :-) ? -- Larry W.
