Many people seem to be under the impression that "Gloria" is about some woman of that name, when actually it is Bono's attempt to express his love for (his) God. (I have heard some incredible rumours about the recording sessions for Gloria, things like the Latin part being a careful mix of 40 (yes, forty!) tracks of Bono's voice, plus instrumentals...) In any case, Gloria, Say Goodbye, Bloody Sunday, A Sort of Homecoming, and the single off The Unforgettalble Fire are my favorite U2 songs...I'm anxiously awaiting the next album from this "group with a social conscience."
