[comp.sources.wanted] Shell tools

I'm looking for pointers to shell tools.  These tools might include:
    a. shell compiler (sh->c)
    b. shell syntax checker (something more elegant
       than the shell's "?#$! unexpected EOF")
    c. shell lint or style guide
    d. shell cross referencer (show what variables are used and type)

Also is anyone interested in such tools?
