SWEET BREAD (west indies) 3 cups flour 1 tsp. angustura bitters 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup mixed peel 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla essence 1 tbs. margarine 1 Tbs. cookeen (lard) 3/4 cup water 1 cup raisens 1 cup grated coconut a little cinnamon 1 egg Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Bake in greased tin @ 350 f until toothpick comes out clean.
