I'm looking for a reasonable implementation of an archive server I can run on my workstation. I've tried RNALIB which was posted to comp.sources.unix and alt.sources. It doesn't cut it, for several reasons, including: it needs a shell with functions; it assumes that \n and \c will work with echo; and its header parsing is miserable (it chokes on 'From: "Jonathan I. Kamens" <jik@ATHENA.MIT.EDU>'. I've also looked at procmail, which appears to provide the framework in which an archive server might be installed, but doesn't provide any of the stuff that would actually be needed to run such a server. I've checked the comp.sources.unix, comp.sources.misc and alt.sources archives, but can't seem to find anything other than what I've mentioned above. I checked Elm and Mush, and neither of them appears to be suited for this. Please E-mail me your recommendations, and I will post a summary to the net. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! -- Jonathan Kamens USnail: MIT Project Athena 11 Ashford Terrace jik@Athena.MIT.EDU Allston, MA 02134 Office: 617-253-8085 Home: 617-782-0710
