Has anyone written a utility that nicely formats news articles for printing ?
It could turn *bold* into real bold and _underline_ into real underline
and {this} into italic and -:) into something that resembles a smiling face.
I'm sure there's other tricks it could perform.
Additionally,
it could underline the subject and remove the path and other noise headers.
I guess the best way to do it would be to turn the article into nroff
input.
What do you think ? Is this a new er old idea. Good er bad.
