And not just 1999! I suggest finding and listening to your local funk station. There's some pretty hot licks in those grooves. I think soul (funk or whatever) has progressed to an interesting combination of fusion, R & B, and Motown silk. I'd rather listen to soul music than any of the "middle of the road" rock trash which is belched out at regular intervals by the BIG record companies.
