[comp.sources.wanted] Wanted - a room scheduler program

guy@library.calpoly.edu (Guy Martin) (04/16/91)

Below is part of an email message from my supervisor requesting that
I look into a program that does this:

> He (dean of the library) wants a program that will enable him to have the
> rooms 202, and 208 be available for library wide scheduling.
> In other words, any staff could pull up the schedule for those rooms and
> see if there is already a meeting scheduled for that room and if not, they
> could plug themselves into that day and time.

Does anyone have any ideas, or points in the right direction on this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As one kind soul pointed out in email, I forgot something every important.
We are running a Sequent Symmetry 27 that is using Dynix V 3.0.12. (Unix).

Hopefully this will help out. Thanks again.

Seems to me I ran across something of this nature when perusing the AT&T
Toolchest utilities. It was called datebook, or something like that.
You might check it out.
