I'm looking for software that will allow a PC to do the job of a terminal server. (One of those devices you can put on your ethernet and it will handle the traffic for several serial lines to/from the network.) This would allow modems to be placed on the PC's serial lines and allow users to connect to any of the hosts on the network. I'm also looking for software that is kind of the reverse of the above. I want to take several serial lines from an old PDP/11 not on the network and tie them to a PC on the network. In UNIX terms some one could telnet to the PC, log on, and tip to the 11. I know that both of the above can be done by running UNIX on the PC. I'm just wondering if anyone has devloped sotware dedicated to doing the above in a PC-DOS environment. -- ============================================================= Roger L.
