I've been intrigued by the synthetic drum set made by Mattel Electronics and sold under their "Synsonics" name. They were mentioned some time ago in a summary of new electronic instruments in this group. Has anyone bought one of these and has comments on it to share? Does it have lasting value or would it be easily obsolesced once some competition comes along (Is there any competition yet?)? In particular, is the 16 beat memory big enough?
