I'm looking to translate .SNF files from the Sun's format to the DECstation's. One could write a byte-swapper, I'm sure, but what I'd really like is one of: SNF to BDF SNF to SNF, different byte-order Many thanks in advance for any help! -- Kenneth H. SNF simply stands for "Server Natural Format" (see the FAQ), so the only _general_ way to port it from one machine to another is to convert it to BDF. The program snftobdf (which works at least with the Sun) should be available from an FTP site or a nearby archive. ----- John B. Melby Fujitsu Limited, Machida, Japan melby%yk.fujitsu.co.jp@fai.com

You can get snftobdf as part of bdftools. It handles the byte swapping. You can get bdftools from: crl.nmsu.edu:pub/misc/bdftools.tar.Z [128.123.1.14] export.lcs.mit.edu:contrib/bdftools.tar.Z [18.30.0.238] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- mleisher@nmsu.edu "I laughed.
