I'm trying to track down the source to a multi-player network game called "dstar". It was accidentally copied by a Sun rep. onto my brother's workstation during a service call, and he and his colleagues have become addicted to it, but have found a few bugs that they would like to fix. I've looked in a few newsgroup archive sites, but haven't found any mention of the game. If anyone knows whether and where the source can be obtained, I'd appreciate any pointers. Thanks. The bug where you core-dump after being shot has been fixed; if there are others, please let me know. Some new features have been added, most notably is the fact that when someone gets radar lock on you, you are notified of that fact. This affects the tactics of using radar. Other enhancements are on the way. I can't make source available directly since there's no anonymous ftp from Sun, but if there's enough demand for it, I suppose I could post it to the net. You need the xgl libraries to build and run it. Bear in mind that there's a much better game called 'aviator' that's available. -ed falk, sun microsystems sun!falk, falk@sun.com In the future, somebody will quote Andy Warhol every 15 minutes.
