I am looking for a fairly straightforward mesh, or numerical grid
generator, for use in finite element analysis. I only need it to do
fairly simple geometries, in 2-D, or 3-D. I know there's been a few
papers written on the subject, by Joe Thompson and others, but I was
wondering if someone has some code written, to simply calculate the
coordinates of the nodes in a simple mesh. Any pointers would be
appreciated.

I am solving Maxwell's equations in 2-D using finite elements. I need a 2-D mesh generator. I've been constructing meshes by hand so far. Any information about source code that I may be able to adapt in any language (FORTRAN, C, or Pascal) would be greatly appreciated. I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee (less than $200) for non-public-domain code. Please respond by e-mail to: Ed Sumbar (sumbar@bode.ee.ualberta.ca)
