We are about to undertake a port to VAX-VMS and were wondering if there was a public domain make source that has been ported to VMS that will ease our path (so we can re-use existing makefiles). This off course becomes an irrelevant question if a real-live-make is available as part of the VAX-C development environment, so if thats true somebody please tell me the error of my ways, having never touched VMS much in ernest I can honestly say that 'I know notheeeen' (appologies to Basil Fawlty/Manuel). Please e-mail and I will summarize if there is enough interest. Thankyou one and all for your help. robin.

Check out the MMS program. It's quite compatible with UNIX make. I don't like the other tools in the VAXset: LSE, SCA, PCA, DTM. They may be of use for projects requiring many programmers, however.
