Could anybody tell me where I can look for a source of
sun raster to postscript format,

You will find in our ftp server irisa.irisa.fr two sun rasterfile-2-ps
converters: psraster (outputs in monochrome only) and sun2ps (outputs in
both mono and color).

They are in Postscript directory.

You also have PBMPLUS utilities and pssun from Adobe transcript package.

psraster and sun2ps files are EPSF files. They work fine for me.

If you find others, please summarize.

Check out alt.sources:  Someone posted Suntops, a program from
Dupont.  I have not tried it, but it looks like what your looking for.
