Hi! I am looking for code, systems or packages to do some resource scheduling. The scheduler needs to be flexible and can run on PCs, Macs, U*ix. I am looking for something that would allow me to customize it to do a fair job according to my priorities. Yeah, I know... simple question, tough answer. Please, please, puhleeez respond with any advice/opinions you might have of public/private/commercial systems you know of. Many Thanks, -Eric -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ newton@cme.nist.gov Eric C. I have seen several requests for information regarding scheduling software but have not seen any follow ups. I too am looking for any pointers to books, PD software, or anything on scheduling employees for shift work. I remember from some computer science class or another that this one of the classic NP complete problems but I know that a lot of work has gone into these types of programs. I will be glad to summarize and post if there is enough interest. --------------------------------------- Andy Galewsky Clinical Resource Systems, Inc.
