I am looking for a source (commercial, PD, whatever) to get source code for all the standard C string functions as well as the file routines that take string arguments (and, while I'm at it, any other standard C functions that take strings). My reasons ar simple: I've recently started doing some programming both in DOS and in Windows. Unless I'm truly blind, I'm sure that Windows does not come with a complete set of string functions to deal with LPSTR's, and my impression has been that DOS has a better, but still inadequate, set of functions for dealing with _far pointers to strings. Since I have need to do programming in both environments, I'd like to get myself a complete set of usable functions so I can use these kinds of pointers without rewriting them all myself. So. If you know of source to any or all of this stuff available anywhere (or, if you just know of a specific solution to my DOS/Windows problem), I'd be more than happy to hear from you! Please EMail me directly at: death@btr.com (or, btr.btr.com!death). Thank you. \david john burrowes
