[comp.sources.wanted] bbs software wanted

ggvvgg@mixcom.COM (Dave Fenske) (06/16/91)

I have a client who wants bbs software for their organization. Their needs
seem to be pretty simple: The ability to post to an existing message thread,
and the ability to scan for phrases.

I've seen stuff like this in the past, mostly just written in shell scripts.
Might anyone have names of companies/individuals where I can go for more
information?

Waffle is shareware, i.e. it costs money. The author maintain a bbs
that you can call and get the latest version from.

Tim Tsai posted an info list on BBS software for UNIX last year. Here's
a repost of it. Personally, I know that some of the information are
outdated. I have almost all of the software and have tried them out.
No, I do not have time to mail them out. The list give you info on
   where to ftp.
