I have a new polygon overlay program. I would like to gather results now to analyse its performance using varieties of real map data: large and small. I would appreciate any available map data, or pointers to such sources, appropriate for overlay processing. I am willing to pay for necessary expenses (within what I can afford) to purchase the data. Please email to me. Thanks! Concerning the program, it is written in C-Prolog and runs on a Sun. Empirical results show that the strategy for polyline intersection takes linear expected time. More, the program guarantees stability since it uses rational arithmetic. Email me if interested in further information. Peter Y.F.
