I am interested in acquiring an image processing system to be used for fluorescence microscopy. Currently under consideration are systems from Recognition Technology, Imaging Technology, Data Translation, and Datacube. Great speed is not necessary for this application. While cost of the system is a major factor, a system which can be used as-is will end up costing less than one that requires a great deal of software development. Does anyone have any experience with any of these systems? Would anyone care to recommend a different system? Can anyone rationalize the fact that the Recognition Technology system costs three times that of the Data Translation system and the Imaging Technology system costs twice as much as the Data Translation system? Please send responses directly to me via e-mail. Thanks. NAME: James P. Kiely USPS: Kiely Laboratories USENET: ...!harvard!lownlab!kiely P.O.
