<This line for the mythical eater of the lines!>

This is not so much a regional food, but the form you can get it in
seems to be regional (I know I'll probably be corrected).

As a youngster growing up in Brooklyn, I remember going to the
corner (this is in the Beachaven section, near Gil Hodges Stadium), and
visiting one of those older gentlemen selling knishes (pronounce the 'k').
Ah yes, those good ol' days of real delies, pushcarts, et. al., remind me of
this wonderful delicacy (send southern flames to me personally, please).

Anyway, it seems that in the northeast (New York, Boston, Philly,
etc.) you can get it in the form of (for lack of better terms) "ravioli" (sp).
Here in the south, including Florida, you can get a knish, but in a pudding-
like form? I long for the day of a real potato knish with spicy brown mustard!
Also, I have only seen kasha knishes in the NE (kasha is noodles, barley, and
seasoning). I must end here and go make me a sandwich with Hebrew National
Salami before I go crazy!!! (-:

Longing for a good kosher deli in the
			Atlanta area,
